Serving Humanity with Devotion at Bahuda Yatra 2026
Every year, Puri, Odisha, welcomes millions of devotees from India and around the world during the world-famous Jagannath Rath Yatra. One of the most important days of this festival is the Bahuda Yatra, when Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra return to the Shree Jagannath Temple.
During this sacred occasion, the Arundhati Foundation organized a large-scale Annaprasad Seva to serve free meals to devotees. Guided by the belief that “Service to Humanity is Service to Lord Jagannath,” the Foundation welcomed pilgrims with love, care, and devotion.
Over 30,000 Devotees Served with Free Annaprasad
The Annaprasad Seva has grown significantly over the years.
- Bahuda Yatra 2025: 60 volunteers served free meals to 10,000 devotees.
- Bahuda Yatra 2026: More than 100 dedicated volunteers (Karmakartas) served over 30,000 devotees.
This remarkable growth reflects the Foundation’s commitment to helping more people every year and spreading kindness through selfless service.
Keeping Puri Clean During Bahuda Yatra
Along with serving free food, the Arundhati Foundation also organized a cleanliness drive along the famous Bada Danda (Grand Road) in Puri.
The volunteers worked throughout the day to keep the roads clean for lakhs of devotees visiting the Rath Yatra. This initiative helped maintain the beauty and cleanliness of the holy city while promoting environmental responsibility.
The Foundation’s efforts were appreciated by local residents, devotees, and community members.
Leadership Behind the Mega Seva
The entire Bahuda Yatra 2026 service initiative was personally led by Mr. Brahmananda Meher, Founder & Managing Director of Arundhati Foundation.
Under his guidance, more than 100 volunteers worked together to ensure that every devotee received Annaprasad with respect, dignity, and care.
